Nearly a century ago, two men joined forces to move the Earth. Since 1925, Caterpillar Inc. has been creating products and services that improve the lives of hard-working folks all around the world. Cat Footwear (a subsidiary of Wolverine Worldwide) is the sole licensee for the Caterpillar brand, selling more than 110 million units in 140 countries and territories.
The Opportunity
Cat Footwear came to Handcar in search of creating more meaningful conversations on social media and building deeper connections with their audience. Relying heavily on campaign photography as social posts, the content didn’t always resonate with their target audience. They needed more diversity in their content strategy, and more agility to tap into key consumer moments and industry-related topics that could get conversations started.
